This committee oversees the affiliate’s financial activities, provides guidance to the treasurer, provides a plan for economic growth and the stability of the organization.
Activities of this committee include:
- Help with budget and audit functions, review financials & advise Board
- Recommend financial policies to the Board and, once approved, make sure they are followed
- Write and maintain financial and accounting procedure manual for the affiliate
- Outline a financial plan for future growth, review current policies and practices and advise
- Evaluate Mortgages
- Work with site selection committee to come up with a plan for future land purchases/donations, etc.
- Help out on special projects when needed (like determining which mortgages can be sold), etc.
- Monthly meetings: one - two hours at noon on the second Tuesday of the month, with some outside time committed to reviewing and evaluating documents
