Finance Committee

This committee oversees the affiliate’s financial activities, provides guidance to the treasurer, provides a plan for economic growth and the stability of the organization.
Activities of this committee include:

  • Help with budget and audit functions, review financials & advise Board
  • Recommend financial policies to the Board and, once approved, make sure they are followed
  • Write and maintain financial and accounting procedure manual for the affiliate
  • Outline a financial plan for future growth, review current policies and practices and advise
  • Evaluate Mortgages
  • Work with site selection committee to come up with a plan for future land purchases/donations, etc.
  • Help out on special projects when needed (like determining which mortgages can be sold), etc.
  • Monthly meetings: one - two hours at noon on the second Tuesday of the month, with some outside time committed to reviewing and evaluating documents
